Canada Pictures

Ok, so my thumb is still nowhere near recovered and I still don't exactly know what is wrong with it. Some people are telling me a break, others a dislocation. All I know is that it hurts and I am going to get a proper X-Ray tomorrow as opposed to simply relying on expert opinions.

However, in the meantime, I will post a few pictures of my time in Canada without too much commenting on the pics (sorry, it just is too awkward to type lots). Enjoy!!

Ok so on the day that I arrived, I saw the Red Sox play the Jays at the Rogers Centre.

I then moved on to the Slanty Reunion. Try drinking whilst jetlagged. It's crazy.

The next day I went to see the Packers in Detroit. This is a huge story in itself and I can't type it all now so check out this

Steve and I immediately after the Pack game.

The next day I went up to Belleville to see Mel. Again, I have a rant here to do about Canada and monopolies particularly when it comes to public transport but it will have to wait. Instead you can simply just admire Mel and I climbing a tree.

It was then onto Kingston. The Gid came down to visit me from Ottawa. A great night.

The Rock was then out in force. Here are Brad, Trevor, Ainsley and Jen.

Bobby (honourary Rock member) and Jeff. Cudos to Jeff who sacrificed his time basically the whole time I was there to either drink, eat, play sports or watch sports. Much appreciated Jeff.

Trevor and Christiane. Didn't get to see too much of them but what time there was was very sweet. Trev, how's the rugby going? Christi, what about Marks LSAT? Was he happy with how things went?

Meghan and I. If you want to see a cool project that Meghan is involved in, click here

Peter Vooys then entertained us all with some spectacular guitar.

After Kingston and following another stop off in Belleville with Mel, it was onto London to see The Who. A fantastic concert. I had never seen them before and to be honest only knew their famous songs. But, I loved it nonetheless!!

Steve and Ty were also. Ty likes to give the fingers.

It was then back to Toronto for a few days which clearly meant that once again I had to visit the Hockey Hall of Fame. Team Ireland actually make it into it. I was so happy.

Of course no trip to Toronto would be complete without a beer tour. Thanks Chris.

On my 2nd last night Chris Schryer and I went to see the Leafs home opener. It was amazing. This is me by the ice. Unfortunately we couldn't stay there.

This actually represents our view. Unfortunately the Leafs lost but have since made a big recovery and seem to be sitting comfortably in a playoff position.

So that's it. Unfortunately, on my last night out I forgot my camera. This is probably a good thing as I ended up doing a little karaoke. Apologies to all involved and in particular for the quality of the lyrics that I discovered where in my song.

What a two weeks it was. It was just what I needed. Canada I will be back.

An Apology

Sorry to anyone who is hoping to check out some pics of my time in Canada. I have them ready to upload but just haven't had a chance this week to do so.

In fact I had vowed that I would use this afternoon to do a decent blog update but unfortunately yesterday I sprained my thumb very badly playing rugby and typing even this far has therefore been a bit of an ordeal.

Hopefully, I will be back to full fitness soon and can give this blog the attention it needs but in the meantime maybe this one picture will do for now.

We weren't really as close as that for the actual game but managed to sneak down to those seats for the warm up. Oh and the reason that the team is wearing only number 21 and number 4 jerseys is that those were the numbers that were being retired that night. Man, those seats would have been sweet.

In Ireland again

Just a quick post to say that I am all safely arrived back in Ireland after an amazing two weeks in Canada.

Pictures, stories and new ideas to follow but unfortunately for the moment I am stuck formatting my own computer which has left me using a public one for this post.

Suffice to say though, between being detained by US Immigration and many many memorable nights out, it was not a dull trip.
